2001 The 6th National Women's Council
Act for Women's Hope!
Despite living in a country as small as Taiwan, women don't always share the same view and experience toward public right issues, such as the right to education or safety due to traditional, regional culture, or social class differences. It is for women from every region and social class of the country to share their experiences, and make gender equality an issue of everyday life, we collect and publish information about "National Women's Council" (NWC) on internet.
Every year during the period of NWC, we invite women who concern about gender issues join a series of conferences and activities. The key issue of this year's NWC is "Women Policy under Cultural Differences." Based on the key issue, we emphasize 6 dimensions of Taiwan women's life: safety, political participation, leisure activity, health, education, and female aboriginals. Related activities start from March 1st to May 31st.
We sincerely invite you to join our activities and share with other women your insights on gender equality on NWC's online Forum. Let's take action for women's hope!
